The Kildare Senior Footballers will play in the Tailteann Cup this summer, after a disappointing season was capped with a Leinster Semi Final defeat to Louth.
Following their relegation to Division 3, Kildare needed to reach the Leinster Final to play in the All Ireland series but they were beaten 0-17 0-13 in Croke Park.
The draw for the Tailteann Cup takes place on Tuesday.
The women footballers suffered their second consecutive defeat of the Leinster Championship.
Diane O'Hora's side were beaten by Meath 2-11 to 0-12.
