In the AIB All Ireland Intermediate semi final, Sallins were beaten in extra time by Kerry's An Ghaeltacht.
The sides finished level at the end of normal time and Sallins were beaten by a last gasp 2 pointer in Supervalu Pairc Ui Caoimh on a scoreline of 0-18 to 1-14.
In Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale Grangenolvin finished on the wrong side of a 2-13 to 0-16 scoreline against Kerry's Ballymcelligott in the AIB Junior semi final.
However it was a better day for the county senior footballers who beat Wexford in Enniscorthy in their O Byrne Cup opener on a score line of 2-12 to 0-9.
