A double winning Saturday for Kildare hurlers and footballers yesterday.
 
The Kildare hurlers followed up their recent win over Westmeath, beating highter ranked Carlow away by 2-23 to 1-20
 
Kildare led by 1-12 to 11 points at half time.
 
The Kildare goals by Jack Sheridan after 20 minutes and star forward Cathal Dowling 2 minutes into the 2nd half.

Also yesterday, the footballers made a winning start to the Tailteann Cup, beating Leitrim in Newbridge

The half time score was 16 points to 11, with Kildare scoring another 20 second-half points.
 
The footballers will be away to Tipperary in Clonmel next weekend.
