England Top Group After Panama Win

England secured top spot in Group L and a place in the World Cup last 32 with a 2-0 victory over Panama.

England progressed to the World Cup knockout stages as Group L winners after a hard-fought 2-0 win over Panama.

Jude Bellingham opened the scoring before captain Harry Kane headed home his 11th World Cup goal, moving past Gary Lineker as England's record scorer at the tournament.

Thomas Tuchel's side were made to work by a disciplined Panama team but found another gear in the second half to secure victory.

England will now face DR Congo in the last 32 as they continue their World Cup campaign.
