Everton were the biggest casualties among the Premier League sides in Carabao Cup action last night.

Rafa Benitez's charges lost on penalties at QPR following a 2-2 draw.

Watford also went out, beaten 3-1 at home to Stoke.

Caoimhin Kelleher saved a penalty as Liverpool won 3-nil at Norwich.

Holders Manchester City hammered Wycombe 6-1.

But the biggest winners of the night were Brentford, who put seven without reply past Oldham.

Seani Maguire found the net in Preston’s 4-2 win over Cheltenham.

There were also wins for Burnley, Southampton, Leeds and Sunderland.
