The bronze sculpture was created by Aidan Harte.
The first ever statue to include a female GAA player has been unveiled outside Semple Stadium and was commissioned by Tipperary County Council.
The bronze sculpture created by Aidan Harte includes a hurler and a ladies footballer.
Its location was chosen as the Gaelic Athletic Association was founded in Thurles in 1884.
