Friday am Sport: Kildare Hurlers & Footballers in Weekend Action

Tailteann Cup, Joe McDonagh Cup: commentary of both Kildare games; Hanlon Concrete Senior Football League Round 8 - Celbridge beat Athy.

In the Senior Football League last night, Celbridge beat Athy by 4-12 to 1-9

The result moves Celbridge to 4th on the table, just above Athy, with both on 8 points along with Morrefield.

A full programme of round 8 games takes place this evening and we’ll have all the fixtures and League tables on this evening’s Weekend Preview from 6.25.

The Kildare football and hurling teams are preparing for action tomorrow and Sunday.

The footballers play Tipperary in the Tailteann Cup tomorrow in Clonmel at 4pm.l

On Sunday, the hurlers play Laois in O’Moore Park at 3pm.

Kfm will have commentary of both games in association with Hanlon Concrete, Robertstown.

Waterford host leaders Shamrock Rovers.  Second placed Derry City are away to Drogheda United.

St Pat's are home to Cork City. Galway United play Sligo Rovers.

Munster will look to cement their place in the top eight in the United Rugby Championship tonight.

They start the night in eighth place ahead of their final round match against Benetton at 8pm at Virgin Media Park.

Ulster make the trip to Edinburgh for a 7.35 start.
