The men’s Minor & Senior Football Finals take place this Sunday, in St. Conleth’s Park, Newbridge.

First up, at 1.30pm, Naas v Raheens in the Manguard Plus Minor A Final.

KFM will have updates, in association with Taaffe Sand and Gravel, Blacktrench, Naas.

Then at 3.30pm, it’s current champions Naas v Clane in the Joe Mallon Motors SFC Final.

Ray Dempsey has been confirmed as the new Limerick senior football boss for the next two seasons.

He succeeds Billy Lee in the role, after he stepped down due to work commitments.

Mayo man Dempsey had been in contention for the top job in his native county before Kevin McStay secured that role.

RUGBY

Donadea's Will Connors starts at openside flanker in Leinster's game against the Cell C Sharks tomorrow, in the United Rugby Championship.

Jonathan Sexton will make his first start of the season at out-half, with Ross Byrne dropping to the bench.

Charlie Ngatai has been named at inside centre for tomorrow’s game at the RDS.

Kick-off at 5.05pm.

 

Athy’s Joe Carbery will start at full-back for Munster against Connacht this evening.

The game at the Sportsground, kicks-off at 7.35pm.

Tomorrow, Naas host Highfield in Divison 1B of the Energia All-Ireland League.

Kick-off is at 2.30pm.

SOCCER

Locally, in Division 1A of the Leinster Senior League tonight - Newbridge Town face Castleknock Celtic in Hartstown Astro Park, at 7.45pm.

Derry City can close the gap on leaders Shamrock Rovers to two points tonight in the SSE Airtricity Premier Division.

Derry are at home to Finn Harps in one of four games.

Elsewhere, third plays fourth at Oriel Park where Dundalk face St. Pat's, bottom side UCD host Sligo Rovers, and Bohemians play Drogheda United.
