FAI board members will meet with Republic of Ireland women's team manager Vera Pauw today.
It follows the naming of former Houston Dash coach Pauw in a report into allegations of coaching misconduct in the United States.
Last night the FAI said Pauw had their support.
Meanwhile, ahead of the World Cup final between France and Argentina in Qatar, Portugal have parted ways with manager Fernando Santos in the wake of their quarter final exit.
