Kildare Hurlers & Men's Footballers In Action On Sunday

GAELIC GAMES

On Saturday there's an all Kildare final in the Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior A Football Final, Naas CBS v Maynooth SLS.

That game will be played in Newbridge & KFM will have commentary from 12pm, in association with Taaffe Sand & Gravel, Blacktrench, Naas.

Then from 5pm, KFM will have commentary of the AIB All Ireland Intermediate hurling final Naas vs Kilmoyley in Croke Park , in association with Joe Mallon Motors, Main Renault and Dacia Dealer for Kildare and Laois, Sallins Rd. Naas and Portlaoise

On Sunday Kildare's hurlers will open their League campaign against Meath in St. Conleth's Park, Newbridge at 12pm.

Kildare's men's footballers will then be in action at 2.30pm, away to Donegal.

KFM will have commentary in association with Hanlon Concrete, Robertstown.

This morning's 'Kildare Today' will preview the games from 10.35am.

RUGBY

Brian O'Driscoll has said he is impressed with what he's hearing from the Irish camp as they prepare to face Wales in tomorrow's Six Nations opener at Lansdowne Road.

Connacht wing Mack Hansen was the only surprise inclusion in the team named by coach Andy Farrell yesterday.


The Under 20s play Wales at Musgrave Park tonight.

Kick off in Cork is at 8pm.

There's also a United Rugby Championship game involving Ulster and Connacht in Belfast from 8.15pm.

GOLF

Seamus Power is just one shot off the lead after firing an 8 under par round of 64 on day one of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am in California.

Tom Hoge leads on 9 under.


On the DP World Tour, Tom McKibbin is 1 over par after a second round of 74 at the Ras al Khaimah Championship in the United Arab Emirates.

David Law leads on 10 under par.

Padraig Harrington and Jonathan Caldwell tee off this morning from 3 and 1 under par respectively.


Leona Maguire lies in a tie for third following her opening round at the LPGA Drive on Championship in Florida.

She carded a 6 under par round of 66 and is just one shot off the pace.

SOCCER

Paul Pogba will feature for Manchester United for the first time in three months tonight.

The French midfielder is set to be included in their squad to face Middlesbrough in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

He had been recovering from a thigh injury he picked up on international duty in early November.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 8pm.


Mo Salah's Egypt will play Sadio Mane's Senegal in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.

That's after Egypt beat hosts Cameroon 3-1 on penalties last night.

RACING

There's an eight race card on the all-weather at Dundalk, where the first is off at 3.55pm.
