Three Kildare teams are in weekend championship action.

This evening, the Eoin Stapleton managed U20 hurlers play Offaly in Tullamore at 6.30pm

Tomorrow, David Herity’s,  senior hurlers play Kerry in the Joe McDonagh Cup in Hawkfield at 1pm.

On Sunday, Glenn Ryan’s senior footballers play Wicklow in the Leinster quarter final in Netwatch Cullen Park at 2.30pm.

Kfm will have commentary, in association with Hanlon Concrete, Robertstown.

The winners of Sunday’s game will play the winners of Laois vs Dublin in the semi final in Croke Park on Sunday week.

Laois and Dublin is in Laois Hire O’Moore Park on Sunday at 3.30pm

This morning’s Kildare Today, from 10.40am and this evening’s Weekend Sport Preview from 6.30pm will analyse the games, including manager interviews, and the rest of the weekend sport.

SOCCER

Manchester United made a sorry exit from the Europa League last night.

They lost their quarter final second leg to Sevilla 3-0 on the night in Spain and 5-2 on aggregate.


West Ham are into the Conference League semi finals after a 5-2 aggregate win over Gent.

They will face Dutch club A-Z in the last four.


In the Premier League tonight, leaders Arsenal play Southampton at the Emirates Stadium.

Kick off is at 8pm.


In the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division this evening, leaders Bohemians go to Drogheda, it's St Pat's versus champions Shamrock Rovers, Cork City host Derry City and Shelbourne take on Dundalk.

In the First Division, table toppers Galway United go to Kerry FC, it's Cobh Ramblers up against Treaty United, Athlone Town away to Waterford and Wexford at home to Finn Harps.

All of tonight's domestic games kick off at 7.45.

GOLF

Leona Maguire is 4 over par and Stephanie Meadow is 5 over after the opening round of the Chevron Championship in Texas, the first major of the year.

RUGBY

In the United Rugby Championship this evening, Ulster host Edinburgh in Belfast.

There's a 7.35 start at the Kingspan Stadium.

HORSE RACING

A flat meeting at Cork today begins just before 2pm.

There's a fixture over jumps at Kilbeggan from 4.
