Last night in the U23 A Football Championship, Moorefield defeated Raheens 3-9 to 0-7.

The Republic of Ireland go into Sunday's final World Cup qualifier in Luxembourg off the back of a goalless draw against Portugal at the Aviva Stadium last night.

The Under 21's play Italy today, with kick off at Tallaght Stadium at 5.30.

In this evening's World Cup qualifiers, Northern Ireland play Lithuania,

It's England at home to Albania,

And Scotland are away to Moldova.

There are also three games in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division tonight.

Champions Shamrock Rovers go to Bohemians,

Finn Harps, who need the points, travel to Inchicore to face St Patrick's Athletic,

And Derry City take on Sligo Rovers.

All of the matches kick off at 7.45.

RUGBY

After a week of controversy, the Irish women's rugby team face the USA at the RDS from 7.15 this evening.

Iain Henderson is the only change to the men's team which beat Japan for tomorrow's November international against New Zealand.

GOLF

Cavan's Leona Maguire is out in front after round one of the LPGA's Pelican Championship in Florida following an 8 under 62.

Before darkness suspended play at the Houston Open, Shane Lowry was 2 under par for his opening round on the back nine.

He's 3 shots off the early pace.

Graeme McDowell shot a 2 under 68, but Seamus Power is 4 over par.

Jonathan Caldwell has moved to 6 under par in the second round of the Dubai Championship.

Francesco Laporta leads on 14 under, with Padraig Harrington to resume from 4 under.

HORSE RACING

Dundalk stages 8 races on the all weather from 3.45 today.

There's also a meeting across the water at Cheltenham.
