On Saturday Kildare play Tyrone in The Premier Junior Championship, with throw-in at 3.30pm.

Kfm's Daniel Maher will be there to give live updates of that game.

Before that, The Kildare Ladies Senior Footballers play Armagh in The All Ireland Quarter Final, with throw-in at 1.45pm.

SOCCER

Portugal have set up a last-16 meeting with neighbours Spain at the World Cup - but only after stoppage time drama.

They took the lead against Croatia in the 94th minute - before their opponents had an equaliser ruled out by a lengthy VAR check.

Spain cruised through to the next round with a 3-nil victory over Austria.

Switzerland beat Algeria 2-nil.

Tonight, Crumlin's Pico Lopes and Cape Verde face the toughest of tests in their first-ever World Cup knockout game.

They face Lionel Messi and defending champions Argentina in Miami, with kickoff at 11pm.

Before that, Mo Salah's Egypt go up against Australia in Dallas from 8pm.

Shamrock Rovers are seven points clear at the top ahead of tonight's game in the SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division.

The Hoops make the trip to second from bottom Sligo Rovers.

Second-placed Bohemians can make it three league wins in a row tonight, when they go to Drogheda United.

Bottom side Waterford can move level on points with Sligo, if they win away to Derry City,

St Pat's take on Galway United, and Shelbourne go up against Dundalk at Tolka Park.

TENNIS

Novak Djokovic continues his bid for a 25th Grand Slam title this afternoon.

The seven-time winner faces 25th seed Arthur Rinderknech in the third-round at Wimbledon.

Defending champion Jannik Sinner is up against Jensen Brooksby of the United States.

While top women's seed Aryna Sabalenka takes on Latvia's Jelena Ostapenko.

ATHLETICS

Rhasidat Adeleke will return to 400-metres action for the first time in a year tonight.

The Tallaght sprinter is in the field at the Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon.

Adeleke missed last year's Worlds in Tokyo through injury, and is hoping to qualify for the Europeans in Birmingham next month.



GOLF

Padraig Harrington is one-under-par heading into the second-round of golf's US Senior Open.

The two-time winner is two shots behind leader Charlie Wi at the Scioto Country Club.

On the Ladies European Tour, Anna Foster is three shots off the lead heading into Day Two of the Hulencourt Women's Open.

The Dubliner sits on one-under-par, and tees off her second round at 1.50pm, there's a group of four tied for the lead on four-under.

Sara Byrne is out on course for her second round, starting the day on three-over.

RACING

The going is good at Wexford this morning ahead of this afternoon's eight-race card.

That meeting gets underway at 4.45pm.
