SOCCER

Wilfried Nancy became the first Celtic manager to lose his first two games in charge as they were beaten 3-nil by Roma in the Europa League last night.

Irish striker Evan Ferguson was on the mark twice for the visitors at Parkhead.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot says he will speak to Mo Salah this morning ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash with Brighton.

The Egyptian forward criticised the club last weekend after being left out of the team for the visit to Leeds and said his relationship with Slot had broken down.

Salah wasn't included in the squad for the midweek trip to play Inter.

Meanwhile, Slot says Federico Chiesa is fit and available for tomorrow's game at Anfield but Cody Gakpo remains out with a muscle problem.

RUGBY

Rieko Ioane will make his first start for Leinster in tonight's Champions Cup clash with Leicester at Welford Road.

The New Zealand international was introduced from the bench in last week's win over Harlequins, but tonight partners Robbie Henshaw in the centre from the start.

Kick-off at Welford Road is at 8 o'clock.

Luke Littler's World Darts Championship title defence got off to the perfect start at Alexandra Palace in London.

The world number one eased into the second round with a 3-nil win over Darius Labanauskas.

Today sees the first afternoon session of the tournament, with former champion Rob Cross up against Cor Dekker in the final match on stage.

The evening session will feature Ireland's Steve Lennon - he faces Damon Heta in the first round.
