The Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up beat Ahoy Senor by half-a-length

The Gordon Elliott-trained Gerri Colombe claimed the Aintree Bowl, the feature race on the opening day of Aintree's Grand National meeting.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up beat Ahoy Senor by half-a-length.

Willie Mullins has trained a pair of favourites to victory so far this afternoon.

Evens favourite Impaire et Passe took the Aintree Hurdle.

While Paul Townend was also aboard odds-on favourite Il Etait Temps or victory in the day’s opener - the Manifesto Novices' Chase.
