The Girls in Green look to bounce back on home soil after a tough opening to their Six Nations campaign.
Ireland women's rugby team are back in action this evening, April 18th, at Dexcom Stadium in Galway, taking on Italy at 5.40pm in Round 2 of the Women's Six Nations.
After last week's 33-12 defeat away to England, Ireland will be aiming to get their campaign up and running, with a much-improved second-half showing at Twickenham offering some encouragement.
There reason for confidence too, with Ireland running out convincing 54-12 winners when the sides met last year. However, this Italian side has shown signs of progress and will provide a stern test.
With home fixtures a key target in this campaign, Ireland will be looking to deliver a strong performance in Galway and give supporters something to cheer for early on in the championship.
