Ireland U20s Beaten By France In World Cup Final.

It finished 50-14.

Ireland had to settle for runners-up spot at the World Under-20 Championship.

They lost 50-points to 14 to France in Cape Town this evening.

France ran in seven tries to win the competition for the third time in a row.

Four Kildare players were involved in the matchday squad - Suncroft's Cian Prendergast, Sallins' Diarmuid Mangan, Naas' Andrew Osborne and Naas RFC's Oscar Cawley.

South Africa finished the tournament with the bronze medal via a 22-15 win over England.
