She, and bronze medalist, Aidan Walsh, returned home today.

Olympic gold medallist Kellie Harrington says her win hasn't sunk in yet and she hasn't slept since her weight in.

The flight carrying the Dublin boxer touched down at Dublin airport at around 1pm this afternoon.

The 31 year old says she can't wait to see her dogs, sit down and have a cup of tea and get in to see her community.

The boxer says she doesn't know what the future holds and hasn't decided if she's going to go pro.

Kellie says the journey has been amazing

The lightweight boxing champion will travel through Dublin’s north inner city on an open top bus later this afternoon, which will make its way to Portland Row, where Kellie grew up.

These local residents say her win has been a massive boost for the community
