Mayo football manager Kevin McStay has stepped back from the role.
The Ballina native took ill at a training session last weekend and was subsequently taken to hospital.
In McStay's absence, assistant manager Stephen Rochford will take charge of the team for their upcoming games.
Mayo play Tyrone in the All-Ireland series in Omagh this Saturday.
