Kildare Finish Leinster Campaign With Offaly Defeat

Kildare ended their Leinster Senior Hurling Championship with a 1-29 to 0-15 defeat.

Kildare's difficult Leinster Senior Hurling championship came to an end with a heavy 17-point loss to Offaly at Cedral St Conleth's Park this afternoon.

Brian Dowling's side put in a good effort in the first-half, trailing by only 3 points going into half-time, but Offaly pulled away in the second-half to ensure they will qualify in third for All-Ireland series.

Despite the disappointing Leinster campaign, Kildare have already guaranteed their place in Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League for next year.

Elsewhere in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship today, Dublin beat Kilkenny by 1-26 to 0-22, while Galway overcame Wexford on a scoreline of 2-31 to 3-20.
