Kildare recorded a strong 4-15 to 3-14 victory over Carlow in Round 2 of the Peadar O Liathain Leinster Minor Hurling Championship league.
It proved a lively and high-scoring encounter, with both sides finding the net, but Kildare's four goals ultimately made the difference.
Carlow stayed in touch throughout with 3-14 on the board, but Kildare's attacking edge saw them come out on top.
The result gives Kildare a valuable boost in their campaign.
