Kildare minor footballers are Leinster champions after a dramatic penalty shootout win over Meath.
Kildare claimed the Leinster Minor Football Championship title following a thrilling victory over Meath in O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.
The Lilywhites staged a late comeback in normal time, scoring a goal and a point in quick succession to level the game at 1-11 apiece after trailing by four points entering the final minute.
The sides remaining deadlocked through extra time, with Kildare eventually prevailing after a penalty shootout.
Greg Kelly scored Kildare's second goal during extra time, while the Lilywhites converted all five of their penalties to seal a dramatic provincial title win over their neighbours.
