Brian Dowling's side beat Laois 2-26 to 1-19
The Kildare senior hurlers made history this afternoon, by beating Laois to win their first ever Joe McDonagh Cup title.
The full-time score in Croke Park was Kildare 2-26 Laois 1-19, with Jack Sheridan and Jack Travers scoring the Kildare goals.
The result rounds off an outstanding campaign for Brian Dowling's side, who will now go in to the All-Ireland Championship at the preliminary quarter-final stage.
Monday morning's Kildare Today programme at 10.40am and the Kildare Scoreboard show from 6.25pm will re-cap the game in more detail.
