Kildare Senior Hurlers Promoted To Division 1B Following Win Over Meath

The Kildare Senior hurlers will play Division 1B hurling against the likes of Clare and Wexford next season.

The Lilywhites beat Meath by 10 points in Trim, 1-24 to 1-14 to secure promotion.

They finish top of the table and will play Down in the league final next weekend.

The Senior women footballers lost to Mayo in Swinford on a scoreline of 3-4 to 12 points.

Pat Sullivan’s side have one more game left against Tyrone next weekend, with a win ensuring they stay in Division 1 next season.

Elsewhere, the camogie side lost by a point to Wicklow 2-10 to 2-9.
