Kildare Set Up Crucial Tyrone Clash After Wicklow Win

Kildare will travel to Tyrone next weekend knowing victory will secure a place in the Premier Junior Camogie Championship semi-finals.

Kildare's emphatic 6-21 to 1-5 victory over Wicklow has set up a crucial away clash with Tyrone in Round 5 of the Glen Dimplex Premier Junior Camogie Championship.

The Lilywhites produced one of their best displays of the season in Newbridge, with Rebecca McDermott leading the way in attack as Kildare ran in six goals to comfortably overcome Wicklow.

Attention now turns to next weekend's trip to Tyrone, Kildare manager Rob O'Neill has backed the team to perform well.

A win would see Kildare secure a place in the championship semi-finals as they look to build on the momentum generated by their impressive victory over Wicklow.

KFM spoke to Kildare camogie manager Rob O'Neill after the match.
