Kildare's senior ladies footballers got their Leinster Championship campaign off to a strong start with a 0-12 to 0-8 win over Meath this afternoon (Sunday, April 26th).
Kildare did enough to see off Meath, outscoring them by four points to secure an important victory.
The result gives Kildare early momentum to build a strong campaign.
Elsewhere, there were wins for Waterford and Armagh in their respective provincial openers. Waterford defeated Kerry 0-17 to 2-9 in Munster, while Armagh saw Donegal off 0-10 to 1-4 in Ulster.
