Kildare Through To Quarter-Finals Of Tailteann Cup As Preliminary Quarter-Final Draw Is Made

Wicklow are also through to the last eight

The Kildare senior footballers advanced to the quarter-finals of the Tailteann Cup over the weekend, with a 4-19 to 1-24 win over Sligo.

Wicklow, Limerick and Fermanagh are also straight through to the last eight of the competition.

The preliminary quarter-final draw sees Offaly play New York, Sligo versus Carlow, Wexford against Antrim and Westmeath play Laois.

Those games will take place this weekend.

Meanwhile. the GAA is expected to confirm the venues for the final round of fixtures in the All-Ireland football championship group stage later today.

The matches - which will take place on the weekend after next - will be fixed for neutral venues.
