Kildare Women Footballers Reach All-Ireland Quarter Final But Camogie Side Suffer Defeat

Tomorrow, attention turns to the men footballers as they play Fermanagh in the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup

The Kildare women footballers have reached the All Ireland Senior Championship Quarter-Final for the first time. 

Pat Sullivan's side beat Armagh 1-12 to 1-10 in the Athletic Grounds this afternoon. 

The sides were level at six points apiece at half-time, but the Lillies outscored their opponents in the second half. 

Elsewhere, the Kildare camogie side are now into an Intermediate relegation final. 

They suffered a 2-20 to 0-4 defeat away to Kerry in Tralee. 

Tomorrow, attention turns to the men footballers as they play Fermanagh in the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup. 

Throw-in in Croke Park is at 4pm and Kfm will have live commentary in association with Hanlon Concrete Robertstown.
