Kildare's Lauren Walsh remains in the hunt at the LPGA's Portland Classic despite a tougher second round in Oregon.

Walsh followed her opening six-under-par 66 with a one-over 73 to sit tied for 36th on five-under overall, seven shots off the lead heading into the weekend.

Walsh recovered from three bogeys with birdies on the sixth and seventh holes to comfortably make the cut.

Elsewhere, Northern Ireland's Stephanie Meadow also qualified for the weekend after a second-round 69 moved her to four-under, while Leona Maguire narrowly missed the cut despite improving to a one-under 71 in round two.
