Jimmy Rimmer won Aston Villa's 1981 First Division title, and also played for Arsenal and Manchester United.
Aston Villa's European Cup winning goalkeeper Jimmy Rimmer has died aged 78.
He played nine minutes of the 1982 final against Bayern Munich before going off with a neck injury.
Rimmer was also on the bench when Manchester United were crowned European champions in 1968.
Villa say he was "one of the finest goalkeepers of his generation".
