Leinster Wins For Straffan And Raheens

Both teams through to Provincial semi finals.

Straffan have secured their place in the semi finals of the Leinster Junior Football Championship.

They beat Barrowhouse of Laois by 0-20 to 0-10 in Crettyard.

The Kildare champions were disappointed with their first half performance, but the sides were level at half time.

Straffan turned things around after the break, scoring 15 second half points on their way to an impressive victory.

Manager Paul Drewitt said there was a good half time team talk.

Raheens are through to the last 4 in the Leinster Ladies Football Junior Championship.

They hit the back of the net three times in quick succession during a 5-09 to 1-11 victory over St. Ultans in Meath.

Raheens Manager David O'Brien says those scores was crucial.
