McCarthy sustained a second injury in The Champions Cup Final against Bordeaux-Begles
Leinster prop Paddy McCarthy will miss the rest of season through injury.
McCarthy had returned from a foot injury in time to play in Leinster's Champions Cup final against Bordeaux-Begles last Saturday.
However, he sustained an injury to his other foot during the game, and will thus miss the rest of Leinster's campaign.
Fellow Leinster prop Andrew Porter has sympathy for McCarthy's tough situation.
Leinster will be boosted however by the return of both Joshua Kenny and Brian Deeny ahead of Saturday's URC game against the Lions.
