Burke was one of 5 Kildare players named on the Team of the Year.
Kildare hurler James Burke has been named as the Christy Ring Player of the Year for 2022.
The Naas forward has been honoured after scoring 1-44 during the five matches of the Lilywhites campaign.
He picked up the award at a gala black-tie event at Croke Park.
It was a good night for Kildare hurling as five players were named in the Ring-Rackard Team of the Year.
Burke was selected at corner forward, and was joined in the team by Naas clubmates Rian Boran, Brian Byrne, Clane’s Paddy McKenna and Paul Divilly of Confey.
The Naas man spoke to Eoin Beatty on this morning's Kildare Today programme.
