Kent - who holds a UEFA 'A' Licence - succeeds Hannah Dingley in the role.
Lizzy Kent has been appointed as the FAI's new Head of Women and Girls Football.
Having previously been involved as a coach with Wexford, Kent also served as part of the Ireland women's under-19 management team in the past.
She was also in charge of the Wexford Gaelic footballers for a period.
Kent - who holds a UEFA 'A' Licence - succeeds Hannah Dingley in the role and will work directly with the FAI's Director of Football John Martin.
