The 28 year old Englishman beat 16 year old Luke Littler by 7 sets to 4 at the Alexandra Palace in London last night.
World number one Humphries won five sets in a row from 4-2 down to prevail and has lifted his first title.
One consolation for Littler is that he collected a cheque for two hundred thousand pounds.
After a fairytale run on his debut in the competition, Littler has regrets, but no complaints about the result:
