Former Monaghan footballer Eugene 'Nudie' Hughes has died.

He won three Ulster Championship medals and a winners medal in the National League in 1985.

SOCCER

Mayo's Kobe McDonald and Kerry's Ben Murphy are heading to the AFL.

McDonald - who is the son of former Mayo star Ciarán - has signed a deal with St Kilda.

Murphy has signed with Brisbane Lions.

Sunderland host Everton tonight in the Premier League - knowing a win can take them up to second in the table.

Kick off is at 8pm.

RACING

After yesterday’s Curragh card, Donegal jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle is champion Irish Flat jockey for the first time.

He, also, won the Breeders Cup for trainer Willie Mullins on board Ethical Diamond on Saturday night.

Again, a reminder that Kildare Scoreboard from 6.25 this evening will review all the weekend Kildare sport, including football manager interviews, KDFL soccer, AIL Rugby, Women’s Superleague Basketball and racing.
