The introduction of the new sides in Mayo is the beginning of a pathway to entering at senior level in the coming years.
Mayo F-C have taken their first steps towards potential League of Ireland inclusion.
The club has been formed in the last number of months by representatives of Mayo Football League who have worked towards submitting an application to the League of Ireland for entry into these competitions.
They’ve been granted entry to the EA Sports Academy competitions at under-14, under-15 and under-17 levels for 2024.
