Rory McIlroy heads into the weekend in a share of the lead at the Genesis Scottish Open after carding a second-round 66 to move to nine-under-par.

There was disappointed for Shane Lowry and Pádraig Harrington, who both missed the cut, while Tom McKibbin safely progressed to the weekend.
