She has defeated Amelia Moore by unanimous decision.

Michaela Walsh is through to the featherweight last-16 at the Women’s World Championship.

The Belfast fighter beat the American, Amelia Moore by unanimous decision.

Dundalk’s Amy Broadhurst has advanced to the light-welterweight last-16 with a unanimous decision win over Croatia’s Sara Beram.

There was disappointment for Aoife O’Rourke, who lost her middleweight first round match by split decision to Naomi Graham of the United States.

Still to come, Belfast flyweight Carly McNaul takes on Burundi’s Ornella Havyarimana.
