Monasterevin native Ronan Whelan claimed a career-defining victory at Epsom on Saturday as he guided Christmas Day to success in the prestigious Derby.
The Kildare jockey partnered the Aidan O'Brien-trained colt to victory, helping secure O'Brien's 12th Derby triumph and the 50th British Classic win of his remarkable career.
