Republic of Ireland manager Vera Pauw says they're 'a bit concerned' about Blessington's Louise Quinn's fitness.

The defender has been nursing a foot injury since the World Cup loss to Australia last Thursday.

Quinn is taking part in training today ahead of tomorrow's game against Canada.

Pauw admitted earlier they're not yet sure if the Birmingham City captain will line out in Perth

The final game of the day at the Women's World Cup finished goalless.

Switzerland and Norway were unable to break the deadlock in their Group A meeting.

Earlier, in the same group, the Philippines secured a 1-nil win over New Zealand.

And in Group H, it finished Colombia 2 Korea Republic nil.

Nottingham Forest have signed forward Anthony Elanga from Manchester United for around 17-point-5 million euro.

The 21-year-old Sweden international has agreed a five-year deal.

Elanga scored three goals in 39 Premier League games after coming through the youth ranks at Old Trafford.

He had been on United's pre-season tour of the United States but travelled back to complete the move

Diane O'Hora has planned an open training session for the public and media for this coming Sunday morning (30th of July) in Manguard Park.

The training session will take place from 10am to 11.30am.

Meeting the public and signing autographs will take place from 11:30am to 12noon

Media interviews will be conducted between 12noon and 1pm.

SWIMMING

Mona McSharry bids for glory at the World Championships in Japan this afternoon.

The Sligo swimmer is in the pool for the final of the 100-metres breaststroke since 1:45pm.

Earlier today, Daniel Wiffen advanced to the final of the 800-metres freestyle with a new Irish record time.

He has also booked a place in next year's Olympic Games.
