Double defeat for Athy and Clane in Leinster finals over the weekend.

In Saturday's AIB Leinster senior club football final:  Ballyboden St. Endas 2-18 Athy 1-14.

Yesterday's AIB Leinster Junior club hurling final Davidstown Cor na cuddy , Wexford 3-8 Clane 11 points.

This morning's Kildare Today with Hannah Kelly will review both games.

This evening's Kildare Scoreboard from 6.25 will include manager interviews along with a review of all the weekend Kildare Sport.

 

Attention now turns to Sallins and Grangenolvin's Leinster finals next Sunday.

In the Leinster Intermediate football final, Sallins play Westmeath's Tubberclair in Cedral St. Conleth's Park at 1.30. 

In the Leinster Junior football final, Grangenolvin play Fighting Cocks of Carlow in the SETU college pitch, also at 1.30.

Kfm will have live coverage of both finals.

 

The 138th Annual County GAA Convention takes place tonight at 7.30pm in Cedral St. Conleth's Park.

The chairman, vice chair and treasurer will be returned unopposed.

Outgoing PRO Lorraiine Wolfe will succeed Christine Murray, who completes her 5 years term as county Secretary .

In the Premier League, Crystal Palace  won 2-1 at Fulham to go fourth in the table, a point ahead of Chelsea.

West Ham remain in the relegation zone, after conceding a late equaliser in a 1-all draw at Brighton.

 

Hearts have a three-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership after winning 2-1 at Celtic.

Republic of Ireland underage player Oisin McEntee scored for Hearts.
 

 

FORMULA ONE

Britain's Lando Norris is Formula One World champion.

A third place finish was enough for him to claim his first world title ahead of Max Verstappen, who won the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

It's the first time McLaren have won the Drivers and Constructors championship double since 1998.
