Kildare footballers were home to Derry in Cedral St. Conleth’s Park on Saturday evening

The game had red cards, the first for Derry after 5 minutes; black cards, and Derry down to 12 at one stage in the first half.

Kildare led by 1-10 to 1-6 at half time. The Kildare goal was scored by

Brian McLoughlin 3 minutes before the interval

But, within 3 minutes of the restart, Derry, added two 2nd half goals, within a minute of each, and despite Kildare closing the gap to 1 point late
