Shane Lowry is adjusting to life as the Irish Open champion this morning.

The Offaly native won by 11 shots at Trump International in Doonbeg, finishing on 23-under-par.

It's the second time that Lowry has won his home tournament - it's his first European tour win in four years.

Action in the county at the weekend focussed on the UPMC hurling championships.

St Pat's can move level on points with SSE Airtricity Premier Division leaders Shamrock Rovers tonight.

Stephen Kenny's side are three points behind their Dublin rivals ahead of their trip to Oriel Park to take on Dundalk.
