Yesterday, All Ireland Senior Football Championship Round Robin 

Kildare 1-16 - Roscommon 1-15.

After the weekend action, Kildare Donegal, Galway, and Cork are all set to have home advantage next weekend.

The semi-final pairings for the Tailteann Cup will also be drawn this morning.

Antrim, Meath, Laois and Down make up the final four.

Limerick captain Declan Hannon will miss his county's All-Ireland hurling semi-final next month.

The centre-back sustained a knee injury in the Munster final win over Clare.

Limerick GAA confirmed last night Hannon won't be back in time for the last four tie on the 8th of July.

 

GOLF

Rory McIlroy believes he is getting closer to ending his major drought.

The world number three missed out on the US Open title last night, finishing a shot behind winner Wyndham Clark.

McIlroy was nine-under-par overall, after a final round of 70.

Shane Lowry ended the week on one-over-par, with Padraig Harrington a shot further back.

A superb finish helped Leona Maguire land her second LPGA Tour title last night.

The Cavan native played the last six holes in six-under-par to win the Meijer LPGA Classic by two shots on 21-under-par.

Stephanie Meadow was in a tie for 13th on 13-under.


SOCCER

The Republic of Ireland continue their Euro 2024 qualification campaign tonight.

After Friday's loss to Greece, Stephen Kenny's side take on Gibraltar at the Aviva Stadium.

Kick off is at 7.45.

At the same time the top two in the group meet at the Stade de France as the French host the Greeks.

Elsewhere, Northern Ireland host Kazakhstan in Group H while England face North Macedonia in Group C.

Meanwhile, in Austria, the Ireland under-21s play Kuwait in an international friendly from 4pm.

Spain are Nations League champions after beating Croatia 5-4 in a penalty shootout in the final last night.

The match finished goalless after extra time in Rotterdam.
