Co-hosts of the Women's World Cup New Zealand caused a huge upset in the tournament's opening game.

Hannah Wilkinson's goal saw them beat Norway 1-0 in Auckland, their first-ever World Cup win in 16 attempts.

Group A opponents Switzerland and the Philippines meet tomorrow.

Tomorrow's other game is the clash of Spain and Costa Rica in Group C.
