Naas man Jamie Osborne will make his debut
Mixed fortunes for Kildare's rugby players as Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell has named his team for the upcoming Six Nations.
Athy's Joey Carbery has missed the cut, with Ross Byrne and Jack Crowley named as the backup 10s to captain Johnny Sexton.
Naas man Jamie Osborne is the only uncapped player in Andy Farrell's Ireland 37-man squad.
Two Eadestown men have been included in the squad Tadhg Beirne and Jimmy O'Brien.
The rising star of Suncroft, Cian Prendergast has also been named.
Congratulations to Jamie Osborne in making the Six Nations Squad and joining Jimmy O'Brien as well. Best wishes to both of you from everyone in Naas RFC. #GoCobras pic.twitter.com/qEIF7TtyZ2
