Stuart Grehan has been crowned Amateur Champion after defeating American Matt Moloney in a dramatic final at Royal Liverpool.
The Tullamore native battled back from an early deficit before holding off a late challenge to secure a one-hole victory over the world number one amateur.
The win opens the door to some of golf's biggest events, with Grehan earning a place at next month's Open Championship, as well as invitations to the 2027 Masters and US Open.
Grehan becomes the latest Irish golfer to make his mark on the amateur stage, with the Offaly man producing a composed display to claim the prestigious title.
