3 Kildare racing bodies appeared before the committee yesterday.
The Chair of the Oireachtas Agriculture Committee says the body will make a series of recommendations to the minister, following hearings "concerns surrounding the integrity" of horse racing
Three Kildare based racing industry organisations have appeared before the committee, and more hearings will take place next week.
Its with respect to claims of drug usage in horse racing.
Representatives of Horse Racing Ireland, the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association, made deputations yesterday.
Committee Chair, Deputy Jackie Cahill, has been speaking to Kildare Today.
He says the industry isn't perfect, but the fact remains that no Irish trained horse racing abroad has tested positive for any prohibited substance.
Deputy Cahill joined Clem Ryan on Wednesday's edition of the programme.
