The Open starts this Thursday
Three-time major champion Pádraig Harrington will hit the opening tee shot of The Open - which starts this Thursday.
He was the last player to win successive editions of the major - lifting the Claret Jug in 2007 and 2008.
Harrington will tee off at twenty-five-to-seven on Thursday morning.
Darren Clarke is another past Open Championship winner and he lives in Portrush.
Meanwhile, Luke Donald has named Francesco Molinari as Team Europe's fourth vice captain for golf's Ryder Cup - which takes place in New York in September.
He joins a backroom team which features his brother - Edoardo - as well as Thomas Bjorn and Jose Maria Olazabal.
